Founder & Creative Director

Introducing Alex, the founder and creative director of our esteemed enterprise. Originally from the picturesque town of Queenstown, she holds a deep understanding of the region. After extensive travels and global living experiences, Alexandra came back to her hometown, embarking on an exciting journey in the realm of weddings and events, all while growing her young family. Her exceptional organizational skills and creative insights have driven the growth of the AKC team, allowing us to curate incredible events spanning across Central Otago, Hawkes Bay, and beyond.

Harriet

Co-ordinator

Originally hailing from a seasonal beach town in Cornwall, UK, Harriet possesses a keen understanding of the dedication required to craft unforgettable moments. Upon relocating to Queenstown, she met her husband, and amidst the beautiful chaos of raising three children, they founded Glam Camping Queenstown, an enterprise blessed with a captivating view of the beautiful Make Lake. Harriet's profound satisfaction as a wedding coordinator stems from her commitment to ensuring an exceptional experience not only for the couple at the centre of the event, but for every attending guest.

Anya

Co-ordinator

Originally hailing from Tāmaki Makaurau/Auckland, Anya discovered her passion for the Central Otago region while visiting friends, exploring its stunning landscapes, and trying to better her ski skills. Her journey into the world of weddings and events began during her studies in Hotel, Tourism, and Events Management in Luzern, Switzerland, where she cultivated a deep appreciation for meticulous planning and creating unforgettable experiences. Anya's professional path took her to prestigious five-star hotels and resorts in Arizona, USA, where she gained invaluable experience in luxury hospitality. After several years abroad, Anya returned to New Zealand, dedicating four years to honing her skills in Human Resources. Drawn to the breathtaking beauty of Wānaka, she recently decided to make it her home. Anya’s exceptional organisational abilities, combined with her deep love for people, make her a perfect fit for her current role. Outside of work, you can find her skiing (or at least trying to) or exploring hiking trails. With a deep love for events, Anya finds joy in helping bring clients' visions to life, creating beautiful and memorable events that truly reflect their dreams and ideas.

Planner

Having spent most of her holidays on the picturesque shores of Lake Wakatipu, Lydia’s deep connection to Queenstown was undeniable. After pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design with a focus on bridal wear, her journey led her from Dunedin to the bustling streets of London. However, when it came time to choose a place to call home, Queenstown beckoned with its irresistible charm. Driven by a profound love for weddings and an exceptional talent for organisation, it was an easy decision for Lydia to create memorable weddings in her favourite place in the world.
